Wellpoint Health Services Appoints New President
Date Posted On: 2009-02-02 Wellpoint Health Services, a leader in preventative and diagnostic clinical services across Canada today announced the appointment of Shameer Dada as President. This appointment was effective January 5, 2009.
Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, CEO of Wellpoint Health Services commented on the appointment of Mr. Dada, "His strong track record of financial and operational excellence, combined with a strong emphasis on the sales delivery model will be the key assets to driving the continued success of our business. We are excited to have Shameer as our new President."
Dada has broad management experience in executive and leadership positions within Canada and the United States.
Dada previously served as Vice President, Operations of Wellpoint Health Services since early 2008. Prior to that, he served as President of Starpoint Health Corp. from 2003 to 2008. During that time Starpoint experienced over 400% growth in five years. Wellpoint subsequently acquired Starpoint in early 2008.
From August 2002 until July 2003, he was Chief Financial Officer of a Calgary based health company. From 1997 to 2002, Dada served as Director of Finance for Burntsand Inc., an e-business integrator with various locations throughout North America. He has also consulted for many public companies, including AMCI, a wireless technology company based in Colorado and Preo Software Inc., a Printelligence company based in Calgary.
