Cancer Screening Tests

Our comprehensive cancer screening protocols test for:

  • Lung
  • Colorectal
  • Breast
  • Ovary
  • Liver
  • Prostate
  • Skin
  • Lymphoma
  • Leukemia

We screen for major cancers using a combination of sophisticated biochemical tests, imaging and non-invasive testing. Our testing includes:

Haematology: A test for complete blood count (CBC) is conducted to evaluate the levels of red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (WBC) and platelets. This test screens for most blood cancers including leukemia and lymphoma.

Faecal Occult Blood Screening is performed on stool samples to detect the presence of “occult” blood that cannot be seen by the naked eye. This test is effective in the early detection of colon cancer.

Urinalysis: The detection of blood in the urine raises concerns of renal, kidney or bladder cancers.

Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA): PSA is a protein produced by certain cells in the prostrate gland. Elevated levels of PSA in your blood may indicate the presence of prostrate cancer.

CA-125: CA-125 is a “tumour marker” that is produced by ovarian cancer cells. This blood test is used to detect early signs of ovarian cancer.

Chest X-Ray: This imaging test will be performed to rule out potential pulmonary pathology if required.

Mammogram: This imaging test is an effective non-invasive screening test for breast cancer.
