No one else in the Canadian industry can match our 24/7 assistance program. You may call our physicians up to 3,000 times per year (or up to 8 times per day) to discuss yours and your family’s health and well being. Our physician team responds promptly - usually within 30 minutes of your initial call. We can arrange prescription refills and medical notes as required.Case Management
Should a problem be uncovered during your assessment, our physicians will provide you with a health road map to recovery by directing your personal case manager. Your personal Wellpoint case manager will facilitate and coordinate further specialist appointments or diagnostic testing. Our case managers can also act as your advocate in time of need and may be made available to accompany you to the hospital to ensure procedures and priorities are being met.Rapid Access Second Opinion
Acute complicated illnesses can trigger our physicians to obtain a second opinion from leading medical centres in the U.S. This enables you to consult with specialists in these institutions regarding your medical records and investigation results. If you decide to have your treatment performed in the U.S., we facilitate your medical care and work closely with the American medical team.We deal with leading physicians from, UCLA, Duke University Health Systems, Cleveland Clinic and Harvard University affiliated hospitals (Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, MacLean Psychiatric Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Centre).
